Dallas Texas and grew up in Cedar Hill
4. What made you decide to do music:
My mother bought me a guitar at the 5 and dime in Duncanville Texas when I was 9 and I took lessons from an elderly lady that went to our church. I just loved making music. I would walk about 2 miles twice a week to her house in town after school for my lesson. She would always make me sing while playing, so I just got accustomed from an early age to sing and play guitar at the same time. When I was in junior high school there was an audition being held for an electric bass guitar player for the high school band. I was only in 8th grade and didn’t even know what a “Bass” guitar was. But my guitar teacher said “it’s just a guitar with these lower four strings on your guitar”. So I auditioned and was playing electric bass in the High School band when I was 13 and in 8th grade. The high school band director thought I had talent and taught me a lot over the years. Music was just part of me.
